This means that all interventions I use are supported by rigorous research. My passion lies in trauma treatment whereby I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). Furthermore, I take pride in my cultural competency, having expansive experience working with diverse communities, including BAME groups. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I have over a decade of experience working in a variety of mental health settings spanning public and private sectors, as well as charitable work for non-profit organisations. Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about health and fitness, reading, hiking and the outdoors, travelling/exploring and music. I would be honoured to support you on your therapeutic journey.

I am a fully qualified Systemic Family & Couple Psychotherapist and a qualified Social Worker. I am registered with the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) to work with adults and children and AFT (Association for Family Therapy & Systemic Practice). I am also registered with Social Work England and bound by their codes of ethics and practice and subject to their complaint’s procedures. I have a MSc in Systemic Psychotherapy and MSc in Psychiatric Social Work. I also hold a post graduate certificate in Systemic Supervision, and I am an Approved Systemic Supervisor with AFT. I have over 25 years of working therapeutically with individuals (children, adolescents and adults), families and couples within the NHS, the voluntary sector and independently. I am also an experienced senior lecturer in Systemic Psychotherapy, and I am the former Programme Lead for the first MSc qualifying level training in Systemic Family and Couple Psychotherapy in the North West (Accredited by The University of Manchester). I currently work within the NHS part time as a Highly Specialist Systemic Psychotherapist and also run an independent practice where I work with children, adults, families, couples and individuals providing Systemic Psychotherapy, and I also provide clinical supervision to other Systemic Psychotherapists within the NHS. I have many years' experience of working within specialist CAMHS services within the NHS including specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder Services, CAMHS services for Looked After and Adopted Children and inpatient CAMHS units including secure units. I also have experience of working within adult NHS services including Specialist Eating Disorder Services and Military Veterans services. My office is in Sale, South Manchester and I offer both daytime and evening appointments. I am a HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist with experience working with adults, children, and families. Since 2011, I have worked across NHS, third sector, and private settings, gaining my doctoral qualification in 2016. I have undertaken further training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), clinical supervision, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and systemic practice. My training enables me to work across the lifespan using a range of psychological models. I approach emotional distress as a response to difficult life experiences, and I work collaboratively with clients to understand their challenges and support their unique path to recovery. I support individuals who have experienced trauma and adversity, as well as those facing a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, self-harm, suicidality, voice hearing, eating difficulties, and dissociation. I also offer a safe and supportive space to explore historical or current life challenges, including transitional periods such as bullying, abuse, grief and loss, relational issues, and perinatal difficulties. In addition, I have experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals who are exploring their sexuality and/or gender identity, including those undergoing treatment to affirm their identified gender.

Saddaf is an experienced Psychological Therapist, with core training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She has also completed further training in EMDR, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and psychological interventions for eating disorders. In addition, Saddaf is trained to assess for autism and has experience working with both adolescents and adults. She is known for her warm, grounding presence and has a special interest in supporting individuals impacted by trauma.

My name is Yassir Mukhtar, and I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I work across both the NHS and the private sector, offering therapy in a professional yet compassionate environment. I have extensive experience working within the NHS across both CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) and IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) services. This background has equipped me to support a wide range of mental health difficulties across the lifespan. My core training is in CBT, and I have additional training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and ADHD-informed approaches. I am also a trained CBT supervisor and provide clinical supervision to other therapists.
